New Barrels for
all pans!
Our Hopetown Pro line has always been built from New Barrels.
That is, barrels built specially for the creation of Steel Pan
Instruments. The popularity of Pan in general has basically
used up the "good used barrel" supply. They are much harder
to find and they cost like the dickens. Most of the used
barrels available are of substandard quality and are also made
from thin (bad sounding) steel.
We have made the decision to absorb the
extra cost of building our "Trinidad Classic" pans on new barrels.
This brings an automatic increase in the quality and consistency
of our "Classic Pan" line. The improvement is very
rewarding. So much so that our "Classic" Painted pan line
that most schools order, now compares favorably with most
U.S. built, painted pan instruments. Our "Classic" pan line
also includes the instruments we finish in Brushed Chrome. Both of
these variations are now super looking instruments.
As always, we have priced these improved
products to give you the best combination of Price vs. Quality
available anywhere!
 Mini Pans
- A New Answer! We now sell
Mini Pans! As you know we have avoided these in the past due
to both limitations and craftsmanship. We are introducing
the Jumbie Pan. It's a full package containing the pan,
stand, mallets and a songbook and it's a perfect and affordable
gift for someone wanting to learn how to play pan. This is a
very nice starter instrument but. please understand it's
limitations.
Great Quality - This product is made
from scratch.
Great Sound - The pitches are true and
the tuning is very good.
Range is Limited - Just like all mini
pans, this one has its limits. It will play anything in the
key of G only. It comes with a song book with some favorites
written in G.

completely new books of 10 arrangements each. At less than
$10.00 each for 4 part arrangements with score, you can't go

Painted Pans - We're still working this issue. We can supply
(at extra charge) pans painted in colors other than black and
grey. Our parts list has a fixed color chart that we can
work from. As yet, we are unable to mix custom colors for
our customers. |
