Our Training Materials are excellent.  All you need is the will to learn. Just decide to do it; then Do It!  Playing the pan requires no special training.  Our On Line Lessons, printed materials and follow on song books have the notes marked in plain English.  Simply mark the notes on your pan and start playing.  All of our training material also contains backing tracks (CD's) so you hear what the song sounds like as you learn.  The key to learning is to Learn Your Scales and then go start playing a song.  Scale practice helps you develop natural "muscle memories" for each note.  Our On Line Lessons are designed to get you playing scales FAST.  The more you play, the smoother you get.  When we started, we knew nothing.  We played our first party a year later!

WHY IS PAN SO POPULAR FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS?  THEY ARE EASY TO LEARN AND TO PLAY!

A primary reason for its popularity is that virtually anyone can learn to play them.  The coolest part of the instrument is that you simply tap it to make a musical tone.  No holding your mouth right, or applying just the right amount of pressure here or there while you slide something else.  Just tap it in the right place to make a proper musical tone!

Even folks with no musical background at all can easily learn to play music on the steel pan instrument.  We have a Rote teaching method that will work for groups of any age.  It's completely ready to go when you are ready to start.

HOW DO YOU GET STARTED?

You don't need to know music. All you need is a group of people with the desire to have fun and enjoy the wonders of making music together as a group.

Here's how it works:

• Decide how many folks you want to begin with.  Pans work well from 2 players to hundreds (like in Trinidad).
• Request a quotation from our Order Desk and send us your deposit.
• We will package all you need including the Steel Drums, Mallets, Stands instruction materials and more.
• Again, you don't need to know music. We supply all you need to have fun creating and experiencing music.
• By the end of a few meetings, you'll be playing songs with a group of others while having an incredible time.
• Each meeting should be about 2 hours to keep from tiring anyone out while you learn and grow with the steel pan.

This is a great opportunity to play with a friend. Parents - this is a great experience for you and your child. Learn together as partners! But, you don't need a partner!
